Matthew Stafford questionable but expected to play


Lions quarterback was throwing passes in the open portion of Thursday's practice. X-rays of the hand came back negative, but it was still badly bruised and has left Stafford as a limited participant in practice this week. He declined to show his hand to reporters at the time, and shielded it with a towel as he walked through the locker room. While Stafford is questionable to play, he'll be without his right tackle. Derrick Rose admits he could need ankle surgery


Rose averaged 14.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists prior to his absence. Lue said that the understated Rose was not particularly emotional when he spoke to the team. "I've saved up enough money", Rose said. "I'll be able to hoop, that's all I want to do", he said. Jeffrey Sandusky gets 3.5-7 years and Tier 3 sexual offender registry


On Friday Sandusky's defense attorney was hopeful for a mitigated sentence and requested the judge order 3-6 years of prison time. The adopted son of Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State University assistant football coach convicted of sexually abusing young boys, was sentenced on Friday to serve up to seven years in prison for child sex crimes, a court official said. UEFA see red over Carvajal's 'deliberate' yellow

In the 6-0 away win over the Cypriot outfit, the Spaniard took an awfully long time to take a throw-in late in the game.
