Swiss Re , the world's second-largest reinsurer, estimated its claims burden from hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria in the United States and from two earthquakes in Mexico at roughly US$3.6 billion in the third quarter. Brazil Olympic Committee's former chief Carlos Arthur Nuzman charged with graft


Nuzman was accused of paying bribes to African delegates to ensure that Rio would be chosen as the host city of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Xinhua news agency reported on Friday. In a letter to the committee he said he needed to devote himself to his legal defense and would not be returning. According to The Guardian , he was "unwell and did not feel able to face disciplinary action from British Cycling for his failure to keep proper medical records". "We hope that upon his return to health, Richard can do his part to help bring to a close ongoing investigations".
