Portland opens its regular season next Wednesday night at Phoenix. The NBA announced the one-game ban Saturday, saying McCollum will be suspended without pay for the first game "which he is eligible and physically able to play". In a video posted to Instagram, the Carolina fan, wearing a black Cam Newton jersey, turns to face the seated man who is confronting him about blocking his view of the field, according to the post's caption.
