Sleep deprivation can lead to mental lapses, study says


For the study, researchers examined 12 exhausted epileptic patients who had electrodes implanted into their brains to pinpoint the origin of their seizures. The same phenomenon can occur when a sleep-deprived driver notices a pedestrian stepping in front of his auto.
