Injury risk for kids sliding down with their parents


An estimated 352,698 children under the age of six were injured on slides in the United States from 2002 to 2015, and many of those injuries were leg fractures, according to the study. The reason? Parents sliding down with kids in their laps. The size and weight of adults apparently plays a big role in the potential for injury. Norma becomes a hurricane over Pacific

Tropical Storm Norma is expected to strengthen into a hurricane and will likely track toward the Baja California peninsula over the next several days. It had winds of 75 miles per hour (120 kph) and was edging north-northwest at about 2 miles per hour (4 kph).
