Stolen toe used in cocktail returned to Canadian hotel with apology


A Dawson City bar's famous mummified toe is back at the Downtown Hotel. The unidentified suspect relayed the same message to the hotel staff along with an apology. The news release said that "unless the toe is returned safe", the hotel plans to pursue charges and a $2,500 fine against the thief. Ex-cop avoids charges in killing of 23yo Milwaukee man


Dominique Heaggan-Brown was acquitted Wednesday, June 21st on all charges. Judge Jeffrey Conen informed the jury that they could consider lesser charges of but he was cleared of all counts. But when you look at it closely they're looking at a circumstance which was fairly unique. Woman charged for performing surgery on her dog, killing it


An Iowa woman was charged with animal neglect after attempting to perform surgery on her dog with a pair of tongs and a kitchen knife, resulting in the dog's death, police have said. Unfortunately the operation didn't turn out as McMenamin planned with the animal dying. Court says verdict in Iowa lottery rigging case was flawed


A divided Iowa Supreme Court has overturned orders requiring an ethanol company to pay $2.5 million to a lab manager who suffered severe workplace sexual harassment from her boss. Colleagues told investigators they believed the man was Tipton, who was charged and fired by the Urbandale-based association. Feds support Texas in federal lawsuit over sanctuary cities law


Local cities have sued Texas over this law claiming that it is unconstitutional and will lead to racial profiling. "Parties may disagree with the state legislature's policy determinations in enacting SB 4 , but nothing in federal immigration law precludes a state from directing law enforcement officers in the state to cooperate with the federal government, rather than merely permitting them to do so on an ad hoc basis". At one point, it appeared that Capitol police made a serious error in their removal of the protesters and dropped one of the wheelchair-bound individuals. FBI says Flint airport stabbing suspect tried to buy gun


He was treated and released the same day. Doctors say he will probably be in the hospital through the weekend. "I'm proud of all of our responders and I'm especially proud of him". The injured officer was Mr Jeff Neville , a 16-year veteran of the airport police force. If convicted he faces up to 20 years in a US prison.
