Trooper, deputy seriously hurt when their cars collide


The sheriff's office said the deputy is in serious but stable condition. The crash Saturday evening near Manila Road and 48th Avenue near Watkins sent both drivers to area hospitals. The deputy was driving a Ford Expedition and was transported by ambulance. Police say they do not know why they were going in opposite directions.
