US factory output fell 0.4 per cent in May; mining jumps


U.S. manufacturing output declined in May after a big jump in April, holding total industrial production flat in the month, the Federal Reserve reported Thursday. Authorities say Belleville man opened fire on members of Congress

Australian Unemployment Rate Falls Sharply in May


Full-time employment rose by 52,100 jobs, while the number of part-time jobs was down by 10,100. The job-market data now comes into line with upbeat business surveys and strong forward-looking employment indicators. In May 934,100 people in the state were in full-time employment, reaching its highest level since May 2015.
