Gator struck, killed by private plane on airport runway


Obviously the gator is very dead, and the plane sustained damage to the wing. According to the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, a Piper PA 31 was landing at 2.15am early Thursday morning. According to airport spokeswoman Carolyn Fennell , the gator weighed in at 500 pounds. Pilot Brad Pierce posted a photo to Facebook on Tuesday , showing the felled alligator on the tarmac at Orlando Executive Airport, where he said another pilot's plane collided with the reptile.
