French President signs law that replaces state of emergency

French President Emmanuel Macron signed a controversial draft of anti-terror legislation into law on Monday, ending the two-year state of emergency enacted after the November 2015 terror attacks in Paris that killed 130 people. Macron noted there had been "sustained debate" over the bill and said it would be reassessed in two years' time.
