The Bank of Russian Federation has experienced hacking attacks using BadRabbit ransomware. Its website showed air traffic going in and out of the Black Sea resort city according to schedule. "Based on our investigation, this has been a targeted attack against corporate networks, using methods similar to those used during the (NotPetya) attack", Kaspersky Lab said in a statement. Turkish court frees activists from jail pending verdicts

Nearly all of the eleven were detained in July after participating in a workshop on digital security held on an island off the coast of Istanbul. The charges include membership of and aid for an " armed terrorist organization ". Taner Kilic, Amnesty's Turkey chairman, will remain in detention as he is on trial in a separate case. HU poll shows Gillespie ahead of Northam in race for governor

A new poll of registered voters from Hampton University has Republican Ed Gillespie with an eight point lead over Democrat Ralph Northam. Gillespie had the support of 41-percent of likely voters while Northam had 33-percent. A Monmouth University poll released October 17 showed Gillespie with a 1-percent lead over Northam. British economy fractionally picks up speed in third quarter
