Sask. convict escapes custody while attending funeral


The 24-year-old was serving time in Saskatoon while he waited to be transported to a federal facility. Frenchman was recently convicted of aggravated assault and forcible confinement, according to provincial officials. Wilby said in one of the incidents, two inmates have been charged with aggravated assault after an alleged attack at the correctional centre. The BBC has been forced to apologise after failing to challenge the views of the climate change sceptic Lord Lawson during an interview on Radio 4's flagship current affairs programme Today . In his letter to those who raised concerns, Colin Tregear, the BBC complaints director, said: "I hope you'll accept my apologies, ..."
