Passenger dies, many injured when bus topples off highway in western Victoria
The bus then rolled down an embankment and one of the passengers, believed to be a woman, died at the scene, police say. Six passengers were critically injured - three of them flown to Melbourne and three taken to Ballarat Hospital. Mounties under investigation after shots fired near Sylvan Lake
The victim was struck when he exited his vehicle, suffering minor injuries. The vehicle was subsequently determined to be stolen and Sundre advised the neighbouring detachments to keep an eye out for it. Officers then fired their weapons at the suspects.
