Cause of Outage Determined; Update on Island Generator Power


In an update at 4:25 p.m., CHEC said they brought two portable generators to the island to provide additional power. Three mobile generators were headed to the island and expected on Friday. There were no impacts to roads or bridges in Dare County as of Thursday, according to county officials. Amazon's 'Alexa' records 9-year-old boy's voice, implicates him in theft


The woman told police that she had an audio recording of a voice taken from the Alexa on her phone, proving that someone had been in her apartment and connected to her Wi-Fi. The boy told officers he couldn't find $46 in stolen cash, but officers later found the money stuffed inside a sneaker in a closet.
