York refuses to grant Uber licence to operate


York has become the third United Kingdom city to refuse Uber a licence to operate, citing concerns about the ride-hailing company's 2016 data breach , which affected 2.7m British users and drivers, and customer complaints. The firm is able to appeal against the decision. Uber has told Britain's data protection regulator that about 2.7 million user accounts - representing the vast majority of people using the ride-hailing service in the country - were affected by the 2016 data breach. Woman, 76, dies after dog attack in Alsip


Authorities said Ford and the dog, which was described as a pet, both lived at the home. 'If I go through the rest of my career without seeing something like this, that would be a good thing. Young child and teenager injured in Dublin shooting


Gardaí have also found a gun. A teenager and a young child have been injured in a shooting in Mulhuddart in Dublin. Thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
