The median household income was $59,000, up 3.2 percent from 2015. Family median income for households rose 2.7% to $75,062 in 2016. The median household income took a serious hit during and after the Great Recession. This was the first time the female-to-male earnings ratio has risen since 2007, and there were an estimated 74.8% of working men with earnings and 62.2% of working women with earnings worked full time. Offshore wind power is cheaper than new nuclear power in the UK


Ministers said the subsidies, paid for by consumers on energy bills, would bring forward enough clean power for 3.6m homes and create thousands of jobs . This is in comparison the new Hinkley Point C nuclear plant that has subsidies of £92.50 per megawatt hour. CCTV camera inspections showed the 1,200mm high by 700mm wide sewer to be totally blocked by the fatberg, which is 3.5 metres deep. The fatberg is around 250 metres in length and among the biggest that workers have ever seen, a Thames Water spokesperson told that the task in front of them is "basically like trying to break up concrete".
