United Kingdom gilts lose after July manufacturing production adds hopes to investor sentiments


United Kingdom manufacturing output increased by 0.5% in July, the fastest pace this year, according to official data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). The UK gilts lost Friday as investors moved away from safe-have assets, post the rise in the country's manufacturing production for the month of July, adding to hopes that rising goods production will act as a prop to the economy and help counter slower consumer spending in the second half of the year. Uber takes steps against diesel cars in London


Uber said on Friday that it will help its drivers who want to switch to greener cars with a more than 150 million-pound ($197 million) fund, paying up to 5,000 pounds per upgrade from a petrol or diesel vehicle. Scotch whisky tourism 'boosted by Brexit'


Nearly £53 million worth of revenue was generated by visitors to Scotch distilleries in 2016, with the average spend per person rising by 13% from £27 to £31 compared with the previous year. August Canadian Employment Rose 22200, Full-Time Jobs Fell Sharply


From the addition of 374,300 net new jobs, 57 per cent of them were full time. Markets trimmed expectations that the Bank of Canada could raise interest rates next month but increased bets on a December move. Stats Canada says employment in the province is still on an upward trend, with almost 100,000 jobs added in the last six months. Equifax hack affects over 140 million U.S. consumers


Personal information of potentially 143 million Americans may have been access by criminals in a cybersecurity incident involving Equifax , one the the three major credit reporting agencies. It then hired a cybersecurity firm to determine the extent of the intrusion and what damage was done.
