Explosion hits Schaeffler factory in Bavaria, 13 injured


As Reuters reported, more than 120 firefighters and police officers, but a large group of rescue workers, rushed on the ground. Four of those injured suffered "serious wounds" and had to be airlifted to hospital via helicopter. The majority of the labor force have since returned to work, police said. Singapore sovereign fund GIC says it pared UBS stake at a loss


GIC plans to sell 93 million shares through an accelerated bookbuilding to institutional investors. UBS shares fell 1.3 per cent to 16.61 francs (S$23.30) in Zurich, erasing earlier gains. This effectively means that the GIC had already lowered its stake: in 2014, Singapore owned 7.07 percent of the Swiss bank, but a minimal drop in shares would not be required to be publicly disclosed.
