State irrigation minister Rajib Banerjee said that in some districts of south Bengal, there had been around 400 mm rainfall in the last three days. Melted nuclear fuel spotted in Fukushima reactor


Plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co. said the robot found large amounts of lavalike debris apparently containing fuel that had flowed out of the core into the primary containment vessel of the Unit 3 reactor at Fukushima. Tepco said there is a "high possibility" that the solidified objects found hanging "like icicles" around the control rod mechanism attached to the bottom of the reactor's pressure vessel, which holds the core, are mixtures of melted metal and fuel that fell from the vessel. Reckitt Benckiser's shares are now changing hands 2.88 percent lower at 7,698.00p. "We're seeing a softer open in United Kingdom equities this morning". CCEA provides in-principle approval for sale of HPCL stake to ONGC


The minister said that CCEA also approved an alternative mechanism led by Jaitley to oversee the transaction. Post the acquisition, HPCL will continue as a public sector undertaking ( PSU ).
