UK Fraud Office charges Barclays over Qatar fund-raising

The Serious Fraud Office has charged Barclays and four former employees, including former CEO John Varley , with conspiracy to commit fraud and the provision of unlawful financial assistance. Barclays said that one of its main subsidiaries may also face additional charges in the case.
