GE CEO Immelt stepping down, Flannery to take over role


John Flannery , president and CEO of GE Healthcare, will become CEO of General Electric on August 1 and will assume the chairman position in 2018. Immelt took the helm in 2001 from legendary CEO Jack Welch . GE said Monday that the moves were part of its succession plan. Early in his GE career he worked on corporate restructurings. Woman rescued from river, arrested on outstanding warrant


Saturday on a rock in the river in Limington after their raft ruptured and deflated. First responders say they had to coax the pair from the rock but were able to get them to shore safely.
