North Korea condemned the exercises, planned before Pyongyang tested a new, more powerful intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in a launch on November 29, as pushing the peninsula "to the brink of nuclear war".

The Chinese air force launched an exercise of their own concurrent to the enormous air drills being run by the US and South Korea, causing experts to speculate what, exactly, Beijing is trying to communicate to the West.

The annual U.S. -South Korean drill, called Vigilant Ace, will run until Friday, with six F-22 Raptor stealth fighters to be deployed among the more than 230 aircraft taking part. US and Korean forces have been preparing the for Vigilant Ace for weeks.

USA aircraft, including F-22s, F-35s, and B-1s, on Monday began a massive exercise alongside South Korean forces, a move North Korean officials say brings the countries to the "brink of nuclear war".

"In the event we need to help defend our 51 million Korean allies, I need to be sure the 51st Fighter Wing is synchronized with the Combined-Joint force", Col. William D. Betts, commander of the Osan, Korea-based 51st Fighter Wing-which flies the venerable Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon-said in a statement.

Effects of depression in Bay of Bengal decreasing
The met department forecast heavy rain in the coastal areas of Gangetic West Bengal on Friday owing to formation of a depression in the Bay of Bengal.

It is reported by South Korean joint chiefs of staff.

The threats come a week after North Korea's latest launch of an ICBM, which is believed to be capable of striking anywhere in the US mainland. Dave Benham, told the military news outlet. The U.N. did not offer detail as to the subject of the talks, but Feltman is expected to also meet foreign minister Ri and U.N. staff based in the country, the Associated Press reported.

The Trump Administration does not seem to consider the North Korean dictator to be a rational actor, and therefore, seems to believe he can not be deterred. The exercise provides realistic air combat training for the United States and Republic of Korea, testing and refining the readiness and interoperability of US-ROK forces to deter aggression and provide a rapid response to attack. "Its intentions are to use that weapon for nuclear blackmail, and then, to, quote, you know, "reunify" the peninsula under the red banner".

Officials in Pyongyang have described the exercises as the US president "begging for a nuclear war".

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said Wednesday that his country and its isolated northern neighbor were "on thin ice", but that he was optimistic of a peaceful solution to the nuclear and missile crisis. Precautions must be taken to ensure Pyongyang does not make a similar error that results in an accidental nuclear war.
