Moore police release videos of confrontation with senator at hotel

Police in Oklahoma have released video of their confrontation with a politician caught in a hotel room with a 17-year-old boy.

Then the shirt shows the image of a sandwich and in smaller font the words "Now go make me a sandwich".

However, on 20 November he pleaded guilty to one count of child sex trafficking, with prosecutors agreeing to drop three child pornography charges against him as part of the plea.

"What sense does it make, me lying to you?" said an officer in the body cam footage.

Police arrived at the motel room after the boy's family raised concerns.

This means Shortey isn't just a hypocrite and a pedophile; he's also a chauvinistic sexist.

Police were called to the Super 8 Motel in the early morning hours of March 9th for a welfare check. Yeah, this one", a police told Shortey, to which he replied: "We were just hanging out, talking about life and stuff.

The formal presentation will take place on Thursday during the Home Depot College Football Awards Show, to be broadcast by ESPN. Andrews beat out Wisconsin senior Troy Fumagalli and Penn State senior Mike Gesicki for the award.

The 35-year-old Shortey, a married father of four, resigned in March after he was arrested on state charges of engaging in child prostitution and transporting a minor for prostitution.

Shortey told officers he was talking to the boy "trying to help him get his life on track". "But I can convince you that he is". The offense carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison. After U.S. District Judge Timothy DeGiusti accepted Shortey's guilty plea, he ruled Shortey would remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until that date.

Police then entered the dimly lit space, which smelled of marijuana, to find Shortey, a box of opened condoms and two unmade beds.

A police report indicated a search of the teen's tablet computer uncovered a series of sexually explicit exchanges in which Shortey referred to the teen as "baby boy" and offered him cash in exchange for "sexual stuff".

In March, Shortey was originally charged with engaging in child prostitution, engaging in child prostitution within 1,000 feet of a church and transporting a minor for the goal of prostitution in Cleveland County District Court.

Shortey tried to play innocent during his arrest, so the full video is worth watching. Those charges against Shortey were dismissed following the federal indictment.

The Senate painted over his name in his auto park spot, scraped his name from his office door and changed the locks of his office before he had even been charged.
