Ubisoft has announced a new multiplayer mode for Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle.
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is available for the Nintendo Switch.
You can get an idea of what to expect in the video below - if you live in the UK. Gotta love regional lockouts. Players will also be able to select either all-Rabbid or all-Mushroom Kingdom-based teams, unlike in the main game where players had to have Mario and at least one Rabbid on their team at all times. One big difference between Versus and the story mode is that each player will only have three actions per turn, making it a battle of strategy as you choose between using a turn to move all of your fighters, or putting all of your actions into one or two characters attacking.
Keeping the battles fresh with be random bonus items that will give additional actions, double damage and other things to whoever picks them up. It's focused on PvP, allowing you to play the Nintendo Switch title locally against your friends-with a single Joy-Con each-for the first time.
This surprise mode is separate from the season pass and will be available for free for all owners of the game tomorrow, December 8, 2017.
