Harrison's 2nd annual Christmas Festival & Parade to feature more attractions

Christmas on Crystal Pier is also celebrated community-wide with decorative wreaths hanging from local businesses.

The Milpas Community Association parade is set for 5 p.m. on December 10, featuring children's groups, live performances and classic cars on the route from Canon Perdido Street south to Mason Street.

HAGUE | The annual Holiday in Hague celebration is coming up on Saturday, Dec. 2 with a parade and visit from Santa Claus.

The number of parade entries nearly doubled from past year.

Regular downtown parking fees will be in place. Day-of registration is $30.

The idea for the event last year came via a board restructuring when members realized the town hadn't had a Christmas parade in more than a decade and had never had a festival this time of the year. The theme of this year's event is "Peace on Earth".

Nasa leader on Tuesday dropped a bombshell telling his supporters that he will be sworn in by the people on Jamhuri Day. Mr Odinga pointed out that he will be sworn in using the first chapter of the constitution on peoples sovereignty.

"Because of the uniqueness of this event, it attracts people from all over the area", Lisa Smith, director of development for Special Olympics Delaware, said in a prepared statement. "There are great activities planned for this year that you won't want to miss".

On Saturday morning, the Newark Parks and Recreation Department will host Snack with Santa at the George Wilson Center on New London Road.

Saturday, Dec. 2, 8 to 11 a.m. - Breakfast with Santa, at Essex Elementary School, 12 Story St. $5 per person, $25 per family.

Before the boat parade - at 3 p.m. - families can visit Santa's Village on the city pier at the Santa Barbara Harbor.

The event will kick off with a parade at 6 p.m., with the party to follow around 6:30 p.m. Additional parking is available at the church parking lot at the corner of Holbrook and Main streets, and at Riverside Park near the Thompson Covered Bridge at California and North Winchester streets.

Now that we got Thanksgiving out of the way, we can now put all of our focus on the next big holiday-Christmas. "The parade wouldn't be possible without the generous donation of Catamaran Resort Hotel and The Pacific Beach Hospitality Group this year".
