Mikael Lustig Starts - Celtic Team vs Motherwell Confirmed

26 Novembre 2017

Brendan Rodgers, whose Celtic side face Motherwell in Sunday's Scottish League Cup final, has claimed Hampden Park is not fit for goal as Scotland's national stadium - despite it being a happy hunting ground for his team.

There was no way back for the Steelmen after that and Brendan Rodgers' side cruised to the final whistle and the first trophy of the season.

The Bhoys won a domestic treble of trophies last season and are now on a mammoth 64-game unbeaten run in Scottish football, which is a British record.

There was a round of applause all around the stadium in the 10th minute in tribute to the late midfielder Phil O'Donnell who played for both clubs and who tragically died 10 years ago aged 35 after collapsing on the pitch at Fir Park.

Motherwell forward Ryan Bowman has insisted he is "not a malicious player", having been criticised for a challenge that left Rangers' Fabio Cardoso with a broken nose in the Scottish League Cup semi-final and by Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers for a tackle on Kieran Tierney.

Sans dogmatisme, sans certitudes, mais avec l'intuition que son émergence est l'occasion de porter un nouveau regard sur les défis du présent.

Motherwell would have been more pleased with the half-time scoreline but just four minutes into the second half that good work was undone.

Opener: James Forrest sent Celtic on the road to victory.

"Craig (Gordon) made a brilliant save from Louis Moult and then we had a potential penalty at 1-0 with Louis Moult as well, I've seen that back and it looks a blatant penalty".

Moments later at the other end, Dembele leapt highest in the box to head a McGregor corner past the far post.
