Vikings GM Wants Greg Olsen Off Fox Broadcast

15 Novembre 2017

The Vikings host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, when Olsen and the Carolina Panthers are on their bye.

Fox is limiting the amount of pre-game access to the Minnesota Vikings this week for guest analyst Greg Olsen, in response to concerns raised by the team about an opposing player on the broadcast crew.

Although Olsen is on the Panthers' injured reserve list due to a foot injury, he could potentially play in the Vikings-Panthers game December 10. The tight end is eligible to return to action Week 12 against the Jets. The Vikings play the Panthers on December 10 in a game that could have major playoff implications.

Texas State Sophomore Dies After Fraternity Initiation Ceremony
In her email, Trauth stated she has suspend all activities of fraternities and sororities until a review has been completed. Ellis is the second Texas State student to die since the winter of 2016 after attending an off-campus Greek event.

"We are excited for the opportunity to make this Sunday's broadcast fun and insightful with Pro Bowler Greg Olsen". Fox officials said they "fully respect" the concerns of the Vikings. "We look forward to welcoming him in the broadcast booth and giving viewers a unique perspective this Sunday".

Although it is unusual for an active National Football League player to broadcast a game, this would not be the first time it has happened. A key difference is Hasselbeck and Allen did not play the teams in question during those seasons.

Olsen told reporters last week he did not anticipate gaining a competitive advantage from the experience. He sidestepped the controversy, saying, "I don't know, I'm going to let higher ups than me handle that". "I don't know how many production meetings I'll be allowed in considering we play them a few weeks later".
