Rally for Meek Mill scheduled for Monday

13 Novembre 2017

Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin wrote a letter to the judge who sentenced rapper Meek Mill to two-to-four years in prison for violating his probation.

Many people have decried the sentencing by Judge Genece Brinkley as unjust and harsh.

The rally will take place today at the Phila.

Google Assistant can now broadcast messages through your Google Home devices
You don't even have to be home to broadcast; the feature will work from anywhere with a cell connection, which is a nice touch. Starting today, you can broadcast your voice from your Assistant on your phone or voice-activated speaker, like Google Home.

Meek Mill is often seen at Sixers games and is friends with numerous players on the team. Rubin says he has known Meek for four years and he "quickly saw that he had a genuine desire to learn, grow, and advance his career and find a way to have a positive impact on his community". Rubin added that he had introduced Meek to the commissioner of Major League Baseball and the owner of the NFL's New England Patriots, as well as his daughter and his mother. "I want you to know that I am personally invested in him so that he can help others". "I truly believe that such a sentence would destroy his future".

Mill and his managers were also faulted for scheduling concerts outside the court-approved territory of Philadelphia and Montgomery County. A flyer for the rally reads, "Our criminal justice system has failed Meek Mill and millions of others like him". Nonetheless, it seems that the fight for justice is only just getting started as a rally has now been organized in support of the Philadelphia-bred rapper in his hometown in the city's Criminal Justice Center on Monday, November 13th at 5 PM.
