Kejriwal asks minister to consider closing Delhi schools over pollution

The association has also urged organisers of the Delhi half marathon and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeking cancellation of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon because of the increased pollution levels in the air.

Earlier, Kejriwal took to Twitter saying, that Delhi has become a "gas chamber" and we have to find a "solution" to crop burning in adjoining states.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called for steps in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to prevent crop stubble burning from turning Delhi into a "gas chamber" every year.

Special Court defers 2G spectrum case to December 5
The next hearing in the 2G scam will be held on December 5, when the court is expected to pronounce the date of the verdict. The CBI had alleged that there was a loss of Rs. 30,984 crore in the allocation of 122 licences for 2G spectrum.

"We appeal to you to stop all outdoor activities and sports in schools due to the very poor air quality keeping in view the harmful impact of air pollution on health of children and immediately issue an advisory in this regard for all schools in Delhi-NCR, which should be disseminated through different media such as radio, print including social media". Also, it is creating difficulties for the oldies and newbies.

And the National president of the Indian Medical Association Dr KK Aggarwal asked to shut down the schools and asked people to remain at their home. As per the reports, areas like Lodhi Road, Pitampura and Punjabi Bagh have recorded small polluted particles in the air.
