Creque has connected on 11-of-12 field goal attempts this season.

Powell is 14 of 17 on field goals this year, and hit a career-long 56-yard field goal last week in the Cougars' defeat to Arizona. The three finalists will be honored during a celebration in Palm Beach County, culminating with the 26 Annual Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award Banquet, presented by the Orange Bowl, on Monday, December 4.

The redshirt senior kicker was among 20 players to make the cut announced Thursday by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. He has not missed a kick shorter than 40 yards, and he is 6-for-8 from beyond that distance, including a career-long, 53-yarder at Miami on October 21.

76ers Want Asset For Jahlil Okafor
Isaiah Thomas spoke out for fellow player Jahlil Okafor in light of his captive state in the Philadelphia 76ers organization. After all, Okafor earned first-team All-Rookie honors during the 2015-16 season when he posted 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Powell enters Saturday's Senior Day game against No. 18 Stanford third in the Pac-12 with 14 made field goals, while his 78 total points are second-most in the league.

The award is named for Lou Groza, who was an NFL Hall of Famer and played 21 seasons with the Cleveland Browns, helping them to four championships. Those 19 points were also the second-most in Mountain West history by a kicker and the most by a non-senior.

SAN ANTONIO - UTSA freshman Jared Sackett is one of three Conference USA players among the 20 semifinalists for the Lou Groza Award honoring the top placekicker in college football. The same panel then selects the victor, who will be announced live on ESPN at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show on Thursday, Dec. 7. Live audio of the game is available at online.
