A Huawei Malaysia representative has confirmed that the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10 will be priced at RM6,999 when it is launched in Malaysia next month.

The Huawei Mate 10 has been priced at Euro 699 (around Rs. 53,500/-) and the Huawei Mate 10 Pro has been priced at Euro 799 (around Rs. 61,000/-). The Porsche Design variant of the device will be available at 1395 euros (Rs 1 lakh approx).

The Shenzhen-based group's new Mate 10 phone appears just weeks after Apple unveiled its top-of-the-line iPhone X, a timing choice many industry observers have read as a direct challenge to the California tech titan. The iPhone X claims to have a screen-to-body ratio of 81.36% which has been defeated by the Mate 10 Pro at 81.61% and the Mate 10 at 81.79%. The storage on the Mate 10 can be further expanded up to 256GB, unlike on the Mate 10 Pro.

On the optics front, both Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro feature a duo of rear cameras- 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and 12-megapixel RGB sensor (as reported here). On the inside, Mate 10 sports a 2.4 GHz Octa-Core Kirin 970 processor with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU for graphics and gaming. The Kirin 970 also has a new dual ISP for AI-powered intelligent camera. The device sports a 6.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels at a PPI of 402 pixels per inch. The HUAWEI Mate Series is also the world's fastest smartphone supporting super-fast LTE connectivity and download speeds.

Huawei has been partnering with lensmaker Leica for its premium offerings and with Mate 10 series too, Huawei is highlighting its partnership with Leica in the camera department offering dual camera setup with improved optics.

There's one which is named Mate 10 and another is Mate 10 Pro. The phone comes runs on an Android 8.0 and is powered by a 4000mAh non-removable battery.

Along side the two phones, Huawei also announced three HUAWEI Mate 10 accessories - EnVizion 360 camera, SuperCharge power bank, and Smart Scale.

The EnVizion 360 Camera can shoot 5K photos and 360-degree 2K videos with multiple viewing modes for users to share across their social media channels. Both devices are also rocking a massive 4,000mAh battery, making the cells larger than those present in Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 and Google's Pixel 2 XL.

The Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be launched in the MEA region on the 30 of October. The device will be available for sale in November in over 15 countries, including Australia, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain and more.
