The road will be closed in both directions between the north end of the 91 Freeway and the Santiago Canyon Road/Chapman Avenue exit until further notice, according to the Toll Roads of Orange County. Fire crews increased the containment figure to 60 percent on Wednesday.

Anaheim Fire and Rescue said 23 structures were destroyed and another 36 were damaged in the fire since it erupted Monday morning.

- The 241 toll road in Orange County a very popular access route through that area has been shut down since Monday due to the 'Canyon fire 2'.

The center - hosted by the city of Anaheim - will serve as a one-stop location for information on filing insurance claims, how to replace a lost driver's license or ID, what happens when a home is red- or yellow-tagged and other disaster recovery issues, Anaheim spokesman Mike Lyster said. More than 1,400 personnel were deployed to fight the flames with 166 fire engines and 14 helicopters.

The inmates must volunteer to work in fire camps and meet other requirements and are paid $2 for each day in camp and $1 an hour while they are on a fire line, the newspaper reported. "It seeds the march toward our goal of 100 percent containment of this fire".

Jason Momoa breaks silence on that Game of Thrones rape joke
Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time, ' Chapman said in a statement. Another thing that happened at San Diego Comic-Con: Jason Momoa made some comments about rape.

Firefighters gained momentum Tuesday thanks to diminished northeast winds, the onset of moist onshore winds, stepped-up manpower on the fire lines and the deployment of numerous water-dropping aircraft.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The evacuation area was repeatedly expanded - with 5,000 homes in Anaheim Hills, Orange and Tustin under evacuation orders at the fire's height. Also fire retardant was left on the pavement during the Canyon Fire 2 battle.
