Ed Boon Discusses Bringing Injustice 2 And NetherRealm Games To Nintendo Switch

Boon remained optimistic about the Nintendo Switch, though. It's an eventful escape into adventurous lands in Hyrule and Stardew Valley, fast-paced adrenaline rushes in the arenas of Splatoon 2 or a pantheon for fighting games with Ultra Street Fighter II, ARMS and Pokken.

NetherRealm Studios' Injustice 2 has become one of the better fighting games for this year, offering a cavalcade of superstars from DC Comics, as well as other guests like Hellboy and Raiden, that have kept things fresh over the past few months.

After all, the Switch is in need of a big fighting game, as it now has titles like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Ultra Street Fighter II and countless Neo-Geo brawlers at the moment.

During his presentation at the Brazil Game Show, GameSpot chatted with Boon, who pointed out that there are possibilities to see Injustice 2 on Switch, although he suggested that it could be a limited version. Boon; let's have an announcement instead. So I think we would need to set up something in terms of an external team.

In particular, the pizzas have become most problematic; Quintana said she loses track of how many pies are tossed every week.

"Yeah, I think at the end of the day you can make nearly any game. there are inevitable compromises, but you know, you can make some version of Injustice on the Atari 2600. I do think it would", Boon added.

That's far from an official confirmation, but it certainly sounds like it's an idea that has been kicked around the studio: "You could have tournaments, everyone comes over with their own system and you can have whole structured tournaments and parallel gameplay and all that".

With the Nintendo's Switch defying all expectations and really becoming a hit, it seems like everyone [developers] is having discussions about bringing their hot properties to the hybrid console. So is he interested, does he have an interest in making Switch games?
