We Are Blood of Austin confirmed Monday that although it has seen an outpouring of support from local blood donors, blood banks in Las Vegas following a mass shooting Sunday night are not in immediate need of additional donations. Red cells have a shelf life of 42 days, plasma lasts for 5 days.

"We stand at the ready to help at any time", a Bonfils spokesperson said, confirming thousands of Coloradans have signed on to give, or already donating, blood.

Blood is desperately needed after approximately 50 people were killed and 400 were transported to local hospitals because of a mass shooting at a country music festival.

To donate blood, call the American Red Cross of Central Minnesota in St. Cloud at 320-251-7641 or stop by their offices at 1301 West St. Germain Street.
