It all began with the President himself when he launched campaign against football players who took a knee during the U.S. national anthem on Monday in a protest.
The peaceful protests that the Cleveland Cavaliers star was referring to took place on Sunday, after President Donald Trump called for the National Football League to "fire or suspend" those who kneel during "The Star-Spangled Banner".
"[My feelings on Cleveland] haven't changed, that's why I sit here today still in this uniform, still ready to lead this franchise to a championship", James said. "I don't respect him, I feel like you can't control what people want to do, and we have bigger issues in this world that you need to be focusing on instead of focusing on all these people taking a knee". Sports is so awesome, what sports can do for everyone, no matter shape, size, race; brings people together like no other.
"I was wondering whether it was something I could have done better to make him not want to be traded", James said. We're not - I'm not - gonna let, while I have this platform, to let one individual, no matter the power, no matter the impact that he should have or she should have, ever use sports as a platform to divide us.

Sanders Points Out Hypocrisy In National Anthem Protests
Sanders went on to quote Dempsey as saying he stood before the flag because the world was better off with the U.S.in it. She later said she was not advocating players protest the on-field officers.
"I tried to give him everything and give him as much of the DNA as I could", he said.
"He doesn't understand how many kids, no matter the race, look up to the president of the United State for guidance, for leadership, for words of encouragement", James said on Monday. We know this is the greatest country in the world. "They make choices and say things that's uneducated". Even from that guy that continues to try to divide us.
"I don't like anything he's been saying", Wall said.
"Been a fan of him for a long time, and I never thought in my wildest dreams that I'd be a teammate of his".
James finished by saying he had faith in the country and its people, while also offering one final rebuke of the president. That was the first thing that when I woke up and saw what he said about Stephen Curry. It's damn sure not him. More than 200 players chose not to stand for the national anthem, and several coaches locked arms with their players.
