Reports say that a Haryana Police team has reached Mumbai and they are questioning two officials of the Ryan International School's management.

The Ryan International School management informed parents that it is to remain closed for two days "to express our solidarity with the parents and family of the child" although reports suggest that the closing of the school is due to violent protests by parents and locals.

School gardener Harpal Singh is also a key eyewitness in the incident.

The accused was held on Friday after he confessed to the crime, officials said.

The report also added that a proper police verification of employees, working at Ryan International School, was not done by the school authorities. Sources said that the SIT has found that most CCTV cameras in the school were not functional and that despite its high fee, the school had not constructed separate toilet facilities for students and support staff like drivers, conductors, peons, etc.
