Apple on Tuesday rolled out its much-anticipated iPhone X, a redesigned product of glass and stainless steel with an edge-to-edge display that Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook called "the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone".
Priced at INR 89,000 onward (in India), the iPhone X will be available from November 3, 2017, but can be pre-ordered from October 27.
Another highlight is a face-recognition feature for unlocking the latest Apple phone. The devices were made fun of for being upstaged by the iPhone X.
Some took to posting images of Hollywood movie stars and how their characters in some movies would definitely not approve of the new iPhone X feature.
The new generation premium smartphone, launched to mark 10 years of the iPhone, will be available in two variants - 64 GB and 256 GB in silver and space grey colours. First, you have to trade in a recent high-end smartphone to qualify. iPhones going back to the iPhone 6 qualify (excluding the SE), as do some top Android phones from Samsung, LG, Motorola, and Google.
IRMA: 4 dead from unrelated carbon monoxide poisoning
Deputies said the generator was found in the garage, which had been converted as an extension of the home. As a safety precaution, those using a generator should also have carbon monoxide detectors in every room.
The disruptive new features that are drawing in fans towards iPhone X can be attributed to the tech giant's honest hard work to stress on innovation after a lean phase. Some also said that the facial-recognition system could enhance the security of users by making it harder for impostors to unlock devices.
The mobile provider has never sold brand new iPhones in the past.
There's also been a boost to battery life, with Apple claiming two hours more battery life than the iPhone 7 before it.
Spec-wise, you're looking at an A11 Bionic chipset with a six-core processor, and the speculation is that there'll be 3GB of RAM inside.
According to the company, it is "the most powerful chip ever in a smart phone. It also features iOS 11, which features new animated emojis, more languages with Siri's translation services and a refreshed Control Center menu".
The event opened in a darkened auditorium, with only the audience's phones gleaming like stars, along with a message that said "Welcome to Steve Jobs Theater".
