The Metropolitan Police said security was being reviewed at Thomas's Batttersea after the woman entered the school in south London on Tuesday.

The 40-year-old was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after an individual gained access to the premises of Thomas' Battersea School on Tuesday.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary at Thomas's Battersea school in London according to police - barely a week after Prince George started as a student there.

"The woman was arrested in the vicinity of the school and has been taken to a south London police station where she remains in custody", said the police.

Four-year-old Prince George, who is third in line to the throne, started at the private school last week.
