Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has earlier worked together in Subhash Ghai's movie "Taal" and Satish Kaushik's movie "Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai". "I wish the team of Fanney Khan all the luck".

"We have a great cast and it is a dream film for me". This was the reason why Fanney Khan will now see Rajkummar Rao playing the love interest of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and not R. Madhavan.

It would have been fantastic to see Aishwarya and Madhavan sharing screen space.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra along with the producer Rajiv Tondon wanted to work with fresh writers and directors who brought in new concepts. The film is slated for an April 2018 release.
