As fans are waiting for the release date of the game, Amazon UK has listed the game for a release on October 23rd for the Nintendo Switch.
Skyrim is one of the most interesting titles to be coming to the Nintendo Switch for a variety of reasons. The team spent time with Skyrim in its handheld form but did not get a chance to test it out while docked.
While the Switch's GPU - especially in its more modestly clocked mobile mode - can't really match the latest generation of consoles, the system does have the benefit of tapping into far more available memory than the last-gen versions of the game.

Bethesda quickly became the butt of a number of jokes around this year's E3, when it seemed like they were shoehorning Skyrim into everything, porting it to every possible console after re-releasing the game last year after upgrading it with better visuals for the Skyrim Special Edition.
To what extent Bethesda is tapping into the full range of Special Edition features for the Switch version remains unclear, but certainly the consistency in performance is very much like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases we saw past year. Of course, the Switch version's unique aspect is its sheer portability, the system-level sleep function allowing you to dip in and out of the game whenever you please. Also, we should remember that the tablet screen can be forgiving in terms of hiding cutbacks and compromises - and we didn't get to see Skyrim running docked. Leaving you with the vision below, let us remind you that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be launched on Switch on October 23, 2017, according to Amazon UK. However, we'll have to see if it's true when the date rolls around.
