It's coming out around the same time of year as the next Jurassic World film, so will presumably have some sort of tie-in with that.

The first big surprise announcement of gamescom 2017 is Jurassic World Evolution, a park simulator allowing players to create their very own Jurassic World.

"Elite Dangerous is a massive, living game with plenty to see and do".

Of course, the game will be based on the Univeral Pictures film franchise and lets gamers create and manage their own Jurassic World theme park. The trailer shows a placeable helipad, but it's safe to say that there'll be a wide range of buildings in the final game.

Unsafe and Zoo Tycoon dev Frontier has announced Jurassic World Evolution, a game in which you can build your very own dinosaur-based theme park, your own wonderful tourist destination, you own Jurassic World.

Frontier Developments will take players back to the legendary Isla Nublar and put them in charge of all the operations taking place there. The official description of the game explains that fans will get to "bioengineer new dinosaur breeds" as well as constructing "attractions, containment and research facilities". Whatever you choose to do will lead to different challenges and never forget the words of warning from Dr Ian Malcolm, "life finds a way".

The game is scheduled to release next summer on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
