Anquan Boldin abruptly tells Bills he's retiring

21 Août 2017

Tyrod Taylor didn't look great in his second preseason game, and a Tweet gave us this possible reaction from Anquan Boldin in week 2.

Signed two weeks ago, Boldin said at the time that he felt the Bills were a playoff team. He figured to be the team's top option in the slot.

"Football in its purest form is what we all strive for as a nation". But if he sees a way he can make a difference in more important matters than football, he can and absolutely should do it. It was when he emotionally got into opponent after opponent - Boldin wasn't the biggest guy on the field, but he was nearly always the baddest dude. But make no mistake, Q's best seasons were with the Cardinals, seasons that should earn him Hall of Fame consideration. His statement through Trotter reflects that, and he wants to put his focus on affecting change through the platform football has afforded him.

"My life's objective is bigger than football", Boldin wrote. It worked out pretty well previous year, as he led the Detroit Lions with eight touchdown catches, and he signed with the Buffalo Bills back on August 7. "Somebody mentioned that somebody said that out there and that quite honestly, that's annoying to me because you don't know me if you think I'm throwing in the towel". "I believe in coach Sean (McDermott) and what he's doing and the direction this organization is heading in".

10 missing, 5 injured after USA destroyer collides with oil tanker
Merchant marine websites describe the Alnic MC as a 30,000-ton, 600-foot-long oil tanker flying a Liberian flag. Apart from the 10 missing sailors, five personnel are injured, said the Navy in an update .

"It's awesome, I think, to see how many people will call us "athletes" and will tell us we need to be in the communities and we need to serve in the different communities that we play in or live in", Boldin told The Post during a visit to Capitol Hill in March. Even if Sammy hadn't been here, I'd have came. "So for me, nothing changes".

Anquan Boldin's National Football League career began at Ford Field, and it looks as though his career ended there, too.

Matthews, however, is listed as week to week after chipping a bone in his sternum during his first practice after being traded.
