Liverpool : Coutinho sale not close insists Klopp

Coutinho, who is now sidelined with a back injury, responded by handing in a transfer request that was turned down by Liverpool's American owners.

Speaking to TV3 on Thursday, Segura claimed Barcelona are close to agreeing a deal for both Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele but Klopp insists nothing has changed in the ongoing transfer saga.

"We have to help the team with reinforcements and they will be here in the coming days", Segura told Catalan TV station Esport3 after Barca lost the second leg of the Super Cup 2-0 at Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu.

"We are delighted with how we played in both games, it is another trophy and you have to congratulate the players because they have been fantastic", said Zidane.

Phil Thompson believes Liverpool will keep Philippe Coutinho this summer but would prefer to see him replaced with another top class player. Tottenham are a bit like Liverpool in that there's always a price on a player.

Klopp conceded it is a tricky situation for all parties, but was keen not to be seen criticising the Brazilian's attitude. No news from me.

"But when I asked the medical department how he is doing, there was no complaints".

United States says joint S.Korea war games not on the negotiating table
Ahead of Kim's inspection of the army, North Korea said it will develop a plan by mid-August for a missile test targeting Guam. But Mr Moon said he believes dialogue with North Korea can happen when North Korea halts missile and nuclear tests.

"Daniel, yes I would say", Klopp said. "But, how always after injuries, you have to wait how the player is reacting with this intensity".

Reports have it that Coutinho has handed in a transfer request and Klopp says he will be sidelined for their next match due to a back injury.

Barcelona's other reported target, Dembele, has been suspended by Borussia Dortmund after the 20-year-old France worldwide skipped training amid speculation of a possible move to Spain.

Crystal Palace are hoping their former Liverpool striker Christian Benteke will be able to exploit the Anfield club's perceived defensive weakness from set pieces in Saturday's Premier League game.

Liverpool recently defeated Frank de Boer's side during the pre-season Asia Trophy in Hong Kong but Klopp expects a much different game at Anfield - particularly without the injured duo of Coutinho and Wilfried Zaha.

"We can't forget that he is only 20 years old and nobody knows who's behind this action".
