Doughnut shop norovirus outbreak victim count nears 250

According to reports, health officials have linked the virus outbreak to a doughnut shop in a suburban area.

An astonishing 200 cases of norovirus have been reported in northwest OH, and county health officials now believe that it started at a doughnut shop in that area.

Norovirus infection is characterized by nausea, vomiting, watery diarrhea, abdominal pain, and in some cases, loss of taste. The illnesses have been tracked to people who ate at the shop between Friday and Monday. We feel so, so sorry for everything that happened.

The small business just got to be unfortunate to house the virus. They said they are working closely with the health department to clean and sanitize the entire restaurant before being re-inspected.

The restaurant voluntarily closed for cleaning on August 8.
