US Attorney-General Jeff Sessions has brushed off sharp criticism from President Donald Trump over his recusal from the Justice Department's Russian Federation investigation, saying he loves his job and plans to continue serving. He also expressed displeasure with Sessions, who was forced to say today that he didn't plan to resign.
"I don't think we're under investigation", he said.
In an interview with the NY-T's President Trump said that he would not have nominated Jeff B. Sessions if he knew he would have recuse himself from overseeing investigation into Russia's activities during the Y 2016 election.
On Wednesday night, The New York Times published its most disturbing piece on Donald Trump yet - an interview with him. The statement was in response to an earlier Trump interview, where the president blasted Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation into Russia's alleged meddling in the United States election.
Sessions had recused himself from any investigation involving the presidential campaign after revelations that he met twice previous year with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. "It's extremely unfair - and that's a mild word - to the president".
President Donald Trump's son, son-in-law and former campaign manager will answer questions about the campaign's alleged links with Russian Federation. "That is what the Department of Justice requires". Being involved in the campaign, there are aspects of the campaign that are under investigation, and so he had to recuse himself.

He declined on Thursday to acknowledge Mr Trump's criticism.
Trump's comments about Sessions have had a "chilling" effect on West Wing staffers, one official told CNN, with Trump's employees anxious that the President could turn on them easily if he was willing to turn on Sessions, the first United States senator to back him in the 2016 election.
The president also accused Mr Sessions of giving "some bad answers" at his confirmation hearing performance. "Donald Trump has only one thing in mind: How can everything profit Donald Trump?"
Trump said Mueller was running an office with many conflicts of interests and it would be best if the investigators concentrated on Russian Federation and not stretch afar off. "I should not be involved in investigating a campaign I had a role in", Sessions said at the time.
Sessions would not have his job if Trump wasn't confident of him, White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters during an off-camera news briefing Thursday.
Sessions was then asked how he could continue to effectively serve without the confidence of Trump. "I think he was being very candid about feelings that he had".
