Arsene Wenger has told Alexis Sanchez to fire Arsenal back into the Champions League after insisting the Chile worldwide will not be sold this summer.

Arsenal boss Wenger has said ahead of the pre-season China tour that "he is not for sale". The decision is not to sell.

Wenger was clearly irked by Sanchez's remarks about the Champions League - and insisted it was up to him to get Arsenal back into Europe's top competition after missing out last term.

"Unfortunately sometimes I give bad answers to good questions, but if you ask me if it is ideal physically to prepare, I say certainly not", Wenger responded.

"He seemed really happy taking photos with me". However, with the Chilean adamant to play in the Champions League, Arsenal will have to look for alternatives and they do not come much better than Karim Benzema.

Mertesacker said Sanchez needed to be left alone to make a decision on his future.

"My idea is to play in the Champions League and to win it".

According to Spanish publication OK Diario, Alexis Sanchez's agent, Fernando Felicevich, has contacted Los Blancos to see if they would be interested in the Chile international's services. "Kolasinac was sick", Arsenal FC Manager Arsene Wenger said.

One of the long running and boring transfer sagas of this summer, somewhat unsurprisingly, has been about whether Alexis Sanchez will be staying at Arsenal or not.

The former Barcelona man joined Arsenal for € 42.5 million three seasons ago, and is coming off a 24-goal Premier League campaign.

"I have made my decision, but now the decision has to be taken by Arsenal", he said, per the Telegraph.
