FBI, police search Livonia park in Danielle Stislicki's disappearance

19 Juillet 2017

Law enforcement teams, including the FBI, Farmington Hills Police Department and the Livonia Police Department, were at the park early Wednesday.

As Farmington Hills police searched for evidence in the Stislicki case they found evidence tying Galloway to Hines Park and the Hines Park attack. Local and national police agencies have been conducting an investigation into the wherabouts of Stislicki, who was last seen leaving MetLife, her place of employment, in Southfield. Her Jeep Renegade was found parked outside her apartment the next day on Halsted Road near Grand River Avenue in Farmington Hills. Police and K-9 units conducted a search for any evidence potentially linked to her disappearance, according to the report.

It's been more than seven months since 28-year-old Danielle Stislicki went missing on what was just another normal day. Police are also looking for her tan and brown striped comforter. They have ruled out any chances of this being a case of human trafficking.

Authorities believe Galloway is a person of interest in the Stislicki case, but he has never been charged with any crime related to that case. "We know from the Livonia case that their suspect was believed to be here so this would be a natural place for us to search".

At the time of Stislicki's disappearance, Galloway was employed by a company contracted to provide security for MetLife, where she worked.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area of Hines Park in Livonia on Wednesday morning, as a heavy law enforcement presence has closed Hines Drive between Stark and Newburgh. Chief Nebus noted that Federal Bureau of Investigation profilers helped them zone in on Hines Park as a possible area to be searched. "There is no specific information or evidence that leads us to believe Danielle's remains are in the park".

Police are searching Hines Park for items belonging to Stislicki that could be found in items like suitcases, bags, and containers. This investigation has led to criminal charges in Livonia against Floyd Galloway, a 30-year-old resident of Berkley.

According to a press release from the Farmington Hills Police Department, police have told the public to watch out for her blue 3-in-1 Eddie Bauer jacket, black zip-up shirt, jeans, and Burgundy boots. The attack took place on September 4, 2016, and Galloway is also of interest in Stislicki's missing person case.
