In general, an ADX value from 0-25 would signal an absent or weak trend. A reading under 20 would suggest no trend, and a reading from 20-25 would suggest that there is no clear trend signal. Moving averages are considered to be lagging indicators that simply take the average price of a stock over a specific period of time. The ADX alone measures trend strength but not direction. The opposite would be the case for a falling ADX line.
The Williams Percent Range or Williams %R is another technical indicator worth taking a look at. iShares Edge MSCI USA MultifactorUCITS ETF USD Acc (FSUS.L) now has a 14 day Williams %R of -23.76. A value of 50-75 would signal a very strong trend, and a value of 75-100 would indicate an extremely strong trend.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a highly popular technical indicator. The RSI was developed by J. Welles Wilder, and it oscillates between 0 and 100. Wilder laid out the foundation for future technical analysts to further investigate the RSI and its relationship to underlying price movements. The Williams %R oscillates in a range from 0 to -100. The normal reading of a stock will fall in the range of 30 to 70. Using the CCI as a leading indicator, technical analysts may use a +100 reading as an overbought signal and a -100 reading as an oversold indicator, suggesting a trend reversal. Alternately, if the indicator goes below -80, this may point to the stock being oversold.

Checking in on some other technical levels, the 14-day RSI is now at 56.22, the 7-day stands at 58.84, and the 3-day is sitting at 56.62. Bell Financial Group Ltd (BFG.AX) now has a 14-day Commodity Channel Index (CCI) of 81.64. The CCI was created to typically stay within the reading of -100 to +100. The CCI may be used to spot if a stock is entering overbought (+100) and oversold (-100) territory.
Investors may be studying other technical indicators like the Williams Percent Range or Williams %R. Moving average indicators are used widely for stock analysis. Looking at some moving average levels, the 200-day is at 18.19, the 50-day is 21.07, and the 7-day is sitting at 21.61. Investors may get complacent with stocks that they are familiar with.
