Serena Williams Talks About Her Life Since Being Pregnant

15 Juillet 2017

In addition to their combined 12 singles titles at Wimbledon, sisters Serena and Venus Williams have won six doubles titles together at the legendary tournament. Shortly after getting engaged to Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, the Grand Slam queen announced her surprise pregnancy on Snapchat-something neither she nor the rest of the world was fully prepared for.

And Serena Williams never did it for the money, according to a new interview with Uninterrupted. I miss her a lot and I look forward to her coming back. So I am little disappointed with that.

That's why, right now, Williams is just enjoying time at home with her family and reflecting on all the things her body has helped her accomplish in order to get to this peaceful point.

"Not once did I think about a check", the 23-time Grand Slam champion shared. "You have to love who you are because that's what's most important". "I should've taken a picture with it but selfies didn't exist back then".

"It's a lot, and I know that, but it's been done before and that keeps me going, knowing a lot of people have done it", she says.

Speaking on behalf of her partnership with Tempur-Pedic - she has been a customer of the brand for over 10 years - Serena stressed the importance of staying healthy and of sleep in her life these days.

Under any other circumstance I would be devastated, but this is good. "I feel like I've been there for the whole journey", Serena said. "But I am OK with it because I feel like, maybe if I had the cravings, I would have a tougher pregnancy". "Because sleep is really powerful and quality sleep is crucial to performance".
