Floyd handed four-game ban by NFL

15 Juillet 2017

Floyd was arrested back in December, when he was a member of the Arizona Cardinals, for DUI in Scottsdale.

The wide receiver was ordered by an Arizona judge to spend a day in jail last month after violating terms of his house arrest in the wake pleading guilty to drunken driving earlier this year. Floyd said kombucha, a fermented tea, was to blame for the failed tests. Floyd spent 24 days in county jail and 96 days in home confinement as a result of the charge.

"Do I believe it?" He claimed the positive test was triggered by Kombucha tea, an excuse met with plenty of skepticism. It is clear that head coach Mike Zimmer has no patience to deal with Floyd's drinking problem. "That it was legit".

Zimmer said he also told the receiver: "If I find out you're lying to me, I'm going to cut you". Floyd finished the season with New England but was inactive for the Patriots' Super Bowl LI victory over Atlanta.

Floyd will be eligible to participate in training camp and preseason games.

US Democrats in new bid to push Russian Federation and Iran sanctions bill
The bill would enable the legislative branch to halt a reversal or lifting of sanctions by the White House with a majority vote. In the House, only the intelligence committee has been seriously probing Trump's alleged Russian Federation ties.

NFL.com reports that Floyd will not be able to return to the regular season field until the Week 5, October 9th, game in Chicago.

The 27-year-old enjoyed his best season in 2013, when he had 1,041 yards and five touchdowns on 65 receptions for the Cardinals.

If Michael Floyd is telling the truth and can stay clear of alcohol he has a real opportunity to help the Vikings receiving corp.

Floyd will miss games versus the New Orleans Saints, at the Pittsburgh Steelers, versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and versus the NFC North-rival Detroit Lions.
